Couples from the Rio de La Plata estuary improvised a dance so sublime that it travelled as far as Paris.

In Buenos Aires in the XIXth century, Latino music, Habanera and African candombe mix to create Tango. It was also the name of the space where slaves waited before being “shipped” abroad.

At the beginning, Tango was a lascivious love dance from the brothels and only popular with the poor classes. However, the XXth century gave it a triumphal welcome and world-wide reputation.
